Veuve Clicquot Bold Woman Award 2027 (UK) – Terms and Conditions and Privacy Notice
Introduction
- Your entry into this Award is governed by these terms and conditions (the "Terms and Conditions"). Promotional materials relating to the Award, including all entry instructions, also form part of these Terms and Conditions. In the event of any conflict between any terms referred to in such promotional materials and these Terms and Conditions, these Terms and Conditions take precedence.
- The promoter is Moët Hennessy U.K. Limited, with company number 00371236 and its registered office at 18 Grosvenor Gardens, London, SW1W 0DH ("MHUK").
- To find out how MHUK processes your personal data in relation to this Award, please see the Data Protection Notice at the end of these Terms and Conditions.
Eligibility
- The Veuve Clicquot Bold Woman Award (the "Award") includes two (2) categories: the Bold Woman Award and the Bold Future Award. The Award is open to females who are at least twenty-five (25) years of age and reside in the United Kingdom on the date of participation, other than employees of MHUK and their immediate families, members of the Award jury and their families, and anyone else professionally connected with the Award. The participants must, on the day of their participation:
a. be the legally appointed President, C.E.O. or equivalent, Owner, or Chairwoman of a corporation registered in the United Kingdom; and
b. have effective control of said corporation, as defined in section 1124 of the Corporation Tax Act.
- MHUK reserves the right to verify the eligibility of participants in this Award. MHUK may require such information as it considers reasonably necessary for this purpose and a prize may be withheld until MHUK is satisfied with the verification. If a winner is found to be ineligible, MHUK may award the prize to another participant and may require the return of any prize already awarded.
Entry
- To enter the Award, each participant must visit the website exclusively dedicated to the Award at https://www.boldopendatabase.com/en/bold-woman-award, choose only one of the two categories (Bold Woman Award or Bold Future Award), click on "Participate" and complete the following mandatory fields:
a. her first name, last name, date of birth and valid e-mail address;
b. the company's name, main activities, date of incorporation, business number, number of employees, total revenues during the last financial year in 2025;
c. the answers to questions related to the Award criteria; and
d. her consent, release and waiver to enter into the Award.
- The Award entry period starts on 1st September 2026 at 14:00 GMT and closes at 20:00 GMT on 30th September 2026 (the "Closing Time"). All entries must be received by MHUK before the Closing Time. MHUK accepts no responsibility for entries that are lost, delayed, corrupted or not received by the Closing Time for any reason. The time of receipt recorded by the computer servers of MHUK will be used to confirm entries are received within the period.
- No purchase is necessary to enter the Award.
- Giving consent to receive any marketing communications from MHUK or any group company is not a condition of entry to the Award.
- Only one entry per person and per corporation is permitted across both categories. For the avoidance of doubt, participants may only enter one category of the Award.
- Any valid entry will be final at the end of the Closing Time. After this date, participants will not be able to amend or update their entry.
- Entries not complying with these Terms and Conditions will be invalid. Your entry (or anything contained in or related to it) must be your own work and must not contain anything that:
a. infringes a third party's copyright or other intellectual property rights, or rights of publicity or privacy;
b. promotes or encourages illegal activity;
c. is fraudulent, false, misleading or deceptive;
d. is defamatory of any person;
e. is discriminatory, obscene, offensive, hateful or inflammatory;
f. contains sexually explicit material;
g. promotes irresponsible consumption or handling of alcohol; or
h. reflects negatively on the image, reputation or business of MHUK.
Selection of Finalists
- An independent jury selected by MHUK shall select up to a maximum of six (6) finalists from all eligible entries in each of the two categories of the Award. The selection of finalists will be based on the following criteria:
a. Bold Woman Award:
i. DEMONSTRATE ENTREPRENEURIAL DARING — Participants can only be considered if they are deemed a leader or founder of a business for more than 3 years, holding the most senior position within their organisation (e.g. CEO, MD, or Chairman), and must have made a significant contribution to the success of their company by instilling their sense of entrepreneurship.
ii. REINVENT TRADITIONS WITH SUCCESS — The participant must have made a tangible contribution to the transformation and evolution of traditional processes in their field, which have supported growth for at least two years (difference of revenues proven by stats).
iii. MAINTAIN AN ETHICAL APPROACH TO BUSINESS — The participant must bring values of ethical change to the company and its direct ecosystem, such as improving environmental impact, fostering a supportive work environment and engaging in inclusive social change.
b. Bold Future Award:
i. DEMONSTRATE ENTREPRENEURIAL DARING — Participants can only be considered if they are deemed a founder of a business established for less than 5 years, and must have made a significant contribution to the success of their company by instilling their sense of entrepreneurship.
ii. REINVENT TRADITIONS WITH SUCCESS — The participant must have made a significant innovation or a tangible contribution to the transformation of an existing market.
iii. MAINTAIN AN ETHICAL APPROACH TO BUSINESS — The participant must bring values of ethical change to the company and its direct ecosystem, such as improving environmental impact, fostering a supportive work environment and engaging in inclusive social change.
- The jury will nominate as finalists the participants whose entries they consider best fulfil the criteria set out in clause 13.
- The finalists will be notified by e-mail no later than 30th January 2027 (the "Selection Date"). MHUK will make a minimum of three (3) attempts to contact the selected finalists (using the email provided at the time of participation) within two (2) business days of the Selection Date. If a selected participant cannot be contacted within two (2) business days of the Selection Date, or if the message is undeliverable, she may, at MHUK's sole and absolute discretion, be disqualified and forfeit all rights in connection with the Award, and MHUK reserves the right to select another finalist from the remaining eligible entries.
- The finalists will keep strictly confidential the fact that they are finalists until the public announcement of results by MHUK. MHUK reserves the right to ask finalists to sign a confidentiality agreement if deemed necessary.
- The finalists will be invited to attend the official Award ceremony (the "Ceremony"). The time and address of the venue will be communicated to the finalists at least one month in advance. MHUK may at its discretion modify the format of, or cancel, the Ceremony for any reason.
Prize
- There are two (2) prizes: one for each category of the Award. Each winner will receive a trophy on the day of the Ceremony.
- The trophies are non-transferable and non-exchangeable. No cash or other alternative will be offered.
- MHUK reserves the right to substitute the trophy with another prize of equal or greater value if circumstances make this necessary.
- Any further prize details will be confirmed when the winner is contacted.
The Winners
- One (1) winner will be designated by the independent jury from the selected finalists in each category of the Award, based on the same criteria used for the selection of finalists. The winners will be announced publicly by MHUK during the Ceremony.
- MHUK is required to make available the surname and county of the winners of the Award. To find out this information, please send a stamped addressed envelope to: Marketing Department, Moet Hennessy UK Limited, 18 Grosvenor Gardens, London, SW1W 0DH, within one month of the Ceremony. If you object to your information being made available, please contact MHUK. In such circumstances, MHUK must still provide the information to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
- No other message or notification of any kind will be sent to non-winning participants.
General
- If you are a finalist or winner, MHUK may ask you to sign a release so that MHUK may use your name, image and all information provided as part of your entry in MHUK's publicity concerning the Award, including on (or in) MHUK's social media pages, websites, press releases and advertising.
- MHUK reserves the right to suspend, cancel or amend the Award and/or revise these Terms and Conditions at any time without giving prior notice and, by continuing to take part in the Award subsequent to any revision, participants shall be deemed to have agreed to the amended terms.
- MHUK may, in its sole discretion, disqualify entries deemed to be non-compliant with these Terms and Conditions or if it has any reason to believe that efforts have been made to distort the competitive process or the spirit of the Award.
- All decisions of MHUK and/or the jury in relation to the Award are final. MHUK is not obliged to disclose any information regarding the participants or their decisions. No message, whether written or electronic, will be sent to non-winning participants.
- The unauthorised reproduction, representation or use in any way of all or part of elements relating directly or indirectly to the Award, and any brands, logotypes or trade marks is strictly prohibited. All trade marks, logos and any other intellectual property rights are and shall remain the property of their respective owners.
- These Terms and Conditions may be sent by mail free of charge to any person who requests them from MHUK in writing at any time before the Ceremony and for a period of one month thereafter. - If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect the enforceability of any other provisions not held to be invalid.
- All disputes, claims, issues and questions concerning the Award and these Terms and Conditions, or the rights and obligations of the participants and MHUK in connection with the Award, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, English law. Each participant agrees that the courts of England shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with the Award or these Terms and Conditions.
Data Protection Notice
- MHUK will process your personal data to administer this Award and publicise the winners in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. The personal data may include your name, contact details and any other information you provide to MHUK as part of this Award. MHUK will use this personal data for its own legitimate interests, such as to administer and manage the Award, or when required by law.
- MHUK will keep the personal data for as long as is necessary to administer this Award and a reasonable period thereafter to deliver prizes, resolve disputes and comply with legal requirements.
- MHUK will not share your personal data with any third party other than those engaged by MHUK to administer the Award and fulfil the prizes. MHUK will transfer and store personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
- You have the right to be removed from this Award at any time or to object to any use of your personal data not required to administer the Award, unless MHUK has compelling legitimate interests. However, this may result in the removal of your entry from the Award and, if you are a winner, will mean that you cannot receive or take up a prize. You also have the right to access, amend, erase or receive a copy of your personal data in a portable form, to the extent permitted by law. If you wish to exercise these rights, please contact Privacy-UK@moethennessy.com. You also have the right to contact a data protection authority if you have any unresolved complaints.
- These terms relate solely to the use of your personal data in relation to the Award.
